Despite the price of gold remaining the same in the world's markets, gold coin and dollar prices dropped in Iran.
Today, one old-design Bahar Azadi gold coin was valued at $579 (USD) while a new-design Bahar Azadi coin cost $575. Yesterday, a single old-design Bahar Azadi coin cost $588 while a new one fetched $584, the Iranian Students' News Agency (ISNA) reported.
The gold coins are minted and sold by the Central bank of Iran.
The dollar's exchange rate was 19,100 rials compared to 19,350 rials yesterday.
Iran's official exchange rate is 12,260 rials to the dollar.
