Georgian products will be presented at Prodexpo-2013 International Exhibition of food, beverages and raw materials which will open in Moscow on February 11. As head of the Georgian Association of Exporters Mimi Gabrichidze said, Georgia will return to the exhibition after seven years.
Georgian tea, lemonade, juice, and suluguni cheese will be presented at the exhibition apart from wines, cognac and mineral water.
The import of Georgian products was banned by Rospotrebnadzor during the spring of 2006 following strains in Georgian-Russian relations.
"This is a very important exhibition that involves large distribution companies. Those interested will have an opportunity to get acquainted with Georgian products which have already been sent to Moscow,"Gabrichidze said.
She also noted that the Georgian Association of Exporters, which undertook the role of mediator in the negotiations and in the continued supply of Georgian products to the Russian market opened a branch office in Moscow.
