By Elena Kosolapova - Trend: Kazakhstan decreased gold and silver production in the first quarter of 2014, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported with the reference to Kazakh Statistics Agency.
Raw, semi-finished gold and gold in power production increased by 4.4 percent in the reporting period compared to the same period of 2013 to 10.14 tons.
Refined gold production increased by 5 percent to 5.945 tons in January-March 2013.
Raw, semi-finished silver and silver in power production dropped by 10 percent to 214.3 tons, including 212.6 tons of refined silver (10 percent decrease) in this period.
Refined raw, unalloyed copper production in January- March decreased by 27.2 percent to 68,514 tons, raw zinc production increased by 4.4 percent to 80,288 tons, raw lead production rose by 48.2 percent to 32,322 tons.
