The Republic of Panama invites Azerbaijani business to invest in the infrastructure and service sector of Panama Canal, Nestor Gonzalez, acting minister of commerce and industries of Panama said, according to the message from Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry.
He made the remarks during the meeting with Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov who is on an official visit to Panama.
Gonzalez said favorable conditions have been created in Panama for activities of foreign investors.
During the meeting, the sides also pointed out that Azerbaijan and Panama have great opportunities to cooperate in such spheres as economy, transport and energy.
Azerbaijan's foreign minister for his part emphasized the importance of organizing business forums, reciprocal visits of businessmen of the two countries.
He also briefed Gonzalez about Azerbaijan's economy, in particular, the dynamic development of the non-oil sector.
