Turkmenistan sent ten freight cars with mineral fertilizers to neighbouring Afghanistan, the Turkmen Dovlet Habarlary state news service reported June 23.
The delivery was ensured thanks to the work of Central Asia's largest mining and processing enterprises – Garlyk potash plant, which was commissioned in late March in the Lebap region of Turkmenistan.
More that 1,000 tons of mineral fertilizers were also delivered to the domestic market – the Turkmen Lebap, Mary, Ahal, Dashoguz and Balkan regions.
More than 7 million tons of ore will be annually mined in the country for the plant to produce 1.4 million tons of potash fertilizers per year.
