Azerbaijani Central Bank’s int’l reserves up

Liabilities of banks and non-bank credit organizations to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) increased by 0.3 percent during this year and amounted to 7.12 billion manats as of August 1, 2017, CBA said in its report for January-July 2017.

Compared to June 2017, the volume of liabilities has increased by 3.9 percent.

Liabilities of commercial banks to the CBA totaled 7.09 billion manats in July 2016 and 6.85 billion manats in June 2017.

The volume of CBA’s foreign liabilities remained unchanged in January-July 2017 and amounted to 2.4 million manats.

CBA’s official international reserves increased by 20.9 percent – from $4.16 billion to $5.03 billion during the year.

Net liabilities of the Central Bank to the government decreased by three times in January-July 2017 as compared to the same period of 2016 and totaled 2.07 billion manats. As of July 2016, the volume of liabilities was 6.23 billion manats.
