Prices on jewelry increase in Kazakhstan

Price on gold jewelry increased by 9.6 percent during a year in Kazakhstan, price on silver jewelry increased by 7 percent.

At the same time the production of rough gold in Kazakhstan grew by 16 percent during a year, production of silver - decreased by 12 percent, Kazakh Energy Prom reported.

As of October 2017, an average cost on silver jewelry in Kazakhstan amounted to 1,369 tenge per gram, which is 7 percent more, compared to the same period of 2016. The highest price on silver jewelry was in Kazakh Atyrau (1,876 tenge per gram) and Almaty (1,785 tenge per gram) cities.

Price on gold jewelry increased by 9.6 percent, to 14,900 tenge per gram (monthly price growth made 0.5 percent). Kazakh capital Astana, in turn, sells gold jewelry at the highest price in the country - 23,700 tenge.

The output of rough gold, in Kazakhstan has grown up to 70.2 tons as of October 2017 (by 15.9 percent compared to the same period of the previous year). The main "gold producing" regions of Kazakhstan are Akmola and East Kazakhstan regions.
