Payment of insurance claims carried out by Azerbaijan’s 10 major insurance companies totaled 213.11 million manats in January-November 2017.
The figure accounts for 92.3 percent of the total amount in the period, said the Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FIMSA).

PASHA Life insurance company ranks first in terms of the payment of insurance claims carried out in the period. The company accounts for 23.35 percent of the total amount. Payment of insurance claims carried out by PASHA Life reached 53.9 million manats in January-November 2017.
Premiums collected by Azerbaijan’s insurance companies totaled 504.2 million manats in January- November 2017 that is 12.4 percent more than in the same period of 2016. Payment of insurance claims totaled 230.88 million manats in the period that is 5.9 percent more than in the same period of 2016.
Twenty-two insurance companies operate in Azerbaijan.
