The number of unemployed citizens in Kazakhstan amounted to 441,800 in December 2017, which is 5 percent of the economically active population, the Statistics Committee of the Ministry of National Economy of Kazakhstan said in a message.
The indicator remained the same, compared to November 2017 (5 percent).
By the end of December, 70,300 people, or 0.8 percent of the economically active population of the country, were registered as unemployed in the employment agencies of Kazakhstan.
The unemployment rate was virtually unchanged in Kazakhstan in 2017, staying within a 5 percent range.
