Iran exported nearly 10,612 tons of goods worth $23 million from Bileh Savar customs point in the northwestern Ardabil province in the first six months of the current Iranian fiscal year (started March 21) to Azerbaijan, the governor of Bileh Savar said.
“So far 10,612 tons of goods have been exported from Bileh Savar customs point to Azerbaijan,” Hassan Qobadi said on October 4, IRNA news agency reported.
He added that the amount of the exported goods registered a 57-percent increase compared to the same corresponding period last year.
Potato, construction materials, vegetables, plastic and metal structures, and nuts were among the major goods exported to the Azerbaijan from the border crossing.
Bileh Savar is the capital city of Bileh Savar County in Ardabil Province, Iran. The city is the site of a border crossing with the Republic of Azerbaijan.
