Uzbekistan's carmaker Uzavtosanoat issued a statement on a successful pilot assembly of a new Chevrolet Tracker at the Tashkent branch of GM Uzbekistan, Uzbek media reported.
The assembly is carried out jointly with the GM Korea, which supplied components, as well as equipment and tools.
As a part of the test production, 28 Tracker cars have been assembled. Mass production and prices will be announced after debugging all production processes and organizational issues.
The new compact crossover is produced in the framework of the General Motors' global program on updating the model range.
The agreement on the organization of Chevrolet Tracker production in Uzbekistan was signed during the state visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the Republic of Korea back in November 2017.
