In January-November 2018, the retail trade turnover in Uzbekistan increased by 5.3 percent and amounted to 116.68 trillion soums, Trend reports on Dec. 17 referring to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
The retail trade turnover of large enterprises amounted to 15.74 trillion soums (a 23.4 percent increase), small businesses – to 100.94 trillion soums (a 3 percent increase).
An increase in retail sales was observed in all regions of the country, with relatively high growth rates being in the Khorezm, Jizzakh, Bukhara and Andijan regions.
In the retail trade, share of catering enterprises amounted to 2.8 percent, reaching 3.25 trillion soums and increasing by 2.9 percent compared to the same period last year. Of the total amount, 85.3 percent accounted for small businesses.
