Rules of transition to electronic cash desks are being worked out in Azerbaijan, a source close to the project told Trend on Jan.8.
The Cabinet of Ministers is coordinating all the related work, said the source.
“Once the rules are defined and criteria are specified, it will become clear when and how transition to electronic cash desks will take place and whether the transition will be carried out in a phase-to-phase manner or in one time. Probably, electronic cash desks will initially appear at big malls. Currently, it is hard to say when they will appear,” the source noted.
As for the very devices (electronic cash desks), a supplier is not excluded to be selected through a tender bid, according to the source.
“Funds should be assigned for the purchase of cash desks. It will be necessary to arrange training courses over the use of these cash desks, etc. In other words, a lot still needs to be done, and all aspects should preliminarily be taken into account,” the source said.
The electronic cash desk is a device capable of not only printing bills but also transiting online data concerning all operations to the tax authority.
