Iran's cargo loading and unloading in Hormozgan ports during first five months of current Iranian year (started March 21, 2109) increased by 4 percent, said the Director General of Hormozgan Ports and Maritime Organization.
"Total of 42.7 million tons of oil and non-oil goods have been loaded and dispatched at Hormozgan ports indicating four-percent rise comparing to same time last Iranian year (started March 21, 2018)," said Allah Morad Afifipour, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"In this period, 28.1 million tons of non-oil goods and 13.8 million tons of oil products have been loaded and unloaded at Hormozgan ports," he said.
"The exports of non-oil goods have increased by 13.9 percent or 40,780 tons, while 3.4 million tons of non-oil goods were imported to country. The oil products reached were 3.5 million tons, while 34,300 tons were transit and 34,300 tons cabotage," he added.
"In the first five months of current Iranian year, about 681,034 TEU containers were unloaded in Hormozgan ports. Some 34,448 ships harbored at Hormozgan ports; 2,111 ships had weight more than 1,000 tons and 32,377 ships had weight less than 1,000 tons," he indicated.
"The passenger transportation in Hormozgan ports reached 8.4 million, showing an increase of 7.7 percent," he added.
