An enterprise for the production of premium flour and sunflower oil has been put into operation in Ashgabat, Trend reports via Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.
The project was implemented on an area of two hectares by the local company "Gündogar akymy".
The capacity of the complex will be 20,000 tons flour and 7,200 tons of sunflower oil. Its structure includes workshops, warehouses, a laboratory and related infrastructure. The new facility is equipped with automated filling lines, the latest laboratory equipment, a computer control system, a fire safety and sanitary control system, etc.
Winter wheat sowing has started in Turkmenistan.
Sown areas cover 690,000 hectares, from which in 2020 it is expected to harvest 1.4 million tons of grain, including 400,000 tons in Akhal region, 345,000 tons in Mary region, 310,000 tons in Lebap region, 265,000 tons in Dashoguz region and 80,000 tons in Balkan region.
High-quality seeds of wheat varieties were prepared for sowing, in particular, Sahrai, Juvan, Bitarap, Yoloten-1, Yoloten-3, Turkmenbashi-1, Gyzylshaglavuk-25, Miras, Akbash, Yubileynaya-100, Batko, as well as Vassa.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan reports that 2,260 arable farming and 7,368 row cultivating tractors of the manufacturers such as CLAAS, John Deere, Case, Belarus-80H and Belarus-82.1 will be involved.
