The production volume of Azerbaijan’s Zagatala hazelnut processing factory reached 1,300 tons in 2019, a source in the factory told Trend.
“The factory increased the production volume up to 15 percent compared to 2018,” the source said.
“The factory exported the main part of its products to Russia and several other CIS countries in 2019,” the source said. “During the reporting period, the factory almost doubled the volume of supply to the Russian market. In total, over 900 tons of products were exported to this market. The factory plans to increase the production volumes up to 1,400-1,500 tons of hazelnuts this year."
Currently, the factory exports blanched hazelnuts, including roasted and chopped hazelnuts.
The director noted that the factory also produces hazelnut flour, which is sold in the domestic market.
The factory’s products have a certificate of conformity issued by the Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents. There is also a confirmation code #AZE 6231 120 for the export of the products to the EU countries.
The Turkish equipment has been installed at the factory.
