The biggest producer of alcoholic beverages in Azerbaijan, the Jalilabad-2 winery, located in the Jalilabad district of the country, has decided on the timing of export of its products, a source at the winery told Trend.

Export deliveries to China will begin in February this year, according to the source.

“Deliveries to the Chinese market are planned in early February in the amount of 70,000-75,000 bottles,” the source noted. “Several deliveries of alcoholic beverages in this direction are expected during this year. We are gradually planning to increase export volumes, and overall export potential. There is great demand for the plant’s products in the domestic market, and as the results of last year showed, a rather high level of sales was observed.”

In general, in 2019, the company produced over 170,000 deciliters of wine, which is 17 percent more than in 2018, the source said.

About 20,000 bottles of wine are produced daily at the plant, according to the source.

“This year, this indicator is expected to grow to 23,000-25,000 bottles daily,” the source said.

The source also noted that the plant produces over 12 types of alcoholic beverages, including cognac.

The plant’s products have a certificate of conformity issued by Azerbaijani State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents.

The company uses Italian and Bulgarian equipment.
