By Eldar Janashvili - Trend:

Price growth in Azerbaijan’s car market isn’t expected in 2020, Director of the MBA Group consulting company Nusrat Ibrahimov told Trend.

There is no reason for price increase, the expert said.

Ibrahimov noted that at the beginning of 2019, the car market already experienced a hike in prices, while in the middle and in the second half of 2019, stabilization and a gradual decrease were observed.

“Prices change depending on the prime cost of cars and activity in the market,” said the expert. “In 2019, activity increased, and therefore prices rose, too. No changes in the market activity are expected this year. Therefore, growth in the car market is forecasted to be 3 percent, not higher than the inflation rate.”

Ibrahimov also noted that the share of old and used cars imported from Georgia is decreasing from year to year, and the margin for new cars is stable.
