Azerbaijani manufacturer of natural tea Astarachay LLC plans its activities, taking into account all the conditions of the special quarantine regime that have been introduced by the Cabinet of Ministers, Director of the company Ilkin Alekberli told Trend.

According to him, the company conducts processing, packaging and sale of Azerbaijani black tea. Since February of this year, it has already completed a certain part of the work, using agricultural tools.

“Recently, Astarachay’s workshops have carried out another steam sterilization of equipment, regularly conducted by the company. On March 22 of the current year, the company’s administrative building in the city of Astara, as well as tea museum and other facilities located in the factory’s area, were thoroughly disinfected,” Alekberli noted.

“Astarachay’s office in Baku, from which the products are delivered to all supermarkets in the city, also took all necessary disinfection measures," he said.

According to the director, Astarachay’s employees strictly comply with all safety rules in accordance with the conditions in the country.

“After the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, we were able to arrange online work of the employees and created all the conditions for switching to the remote mode,” he noted.

“Due to the fact that we work in the food sector, the company has involved only the most necessary staff in full compliance with sanitary standards. Naturally, a complete transition to the online mode of work is impossible. At the same time, to enable some of our employees to work remotely, we provided them with all the necessary working equipment, so the employees carry out their duties without any problems," Alekberli said.

According to the director, Astarachay employees keep in touch using necessary modern information systems.

"The area of Astarachay LLC’s tea plantations had been partially treated before the quarantine regime in the country. At present, the bushes are being trimmed in compliance with quarantine security measures, including a two-meter minimum distance between workers. The harvesting process will begin in May. We hope very much that by that time the problem of the coronavirus pandemic spread will be eliminated, and we’ll continue our path to progress in normal conditions," he stressed.

Astarachay LLC was established in 2010. From 2015, it has been implementing manufacturing and sale of Azerbaijani tea products. The tea factory has ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 18001 and ISO 22000 international certificates.
