Fish processing plant to be commissioned in Kazakhstan's Kyzylorda

A total of 23 projects worth 551.2 billion tenge ($1.3 billion) are to be implemented in Kazakhstan's Kyzylorda region before 2025 within the framework of third industrialization state program, Trend reports with reference to the regional akimat (administrative center).

Thus, three projects worth 44.2 billion tenge ($109.8 million) will be implemented this year.

The first one of the project of Kazakhstan Aquaculture LTD which oversees commissioning of a fish processing plant in the Aral region. The plant’s capacity will be 4,000 tons of processed fish a year. The cost of the project’s implementation is 160 million tenge ($397,643). A total of 100 new jobs are to be created as a result of the plant’s launch.

The second project is the poultry farm which is to be commissioned by Karmakshy Kys company the capacity of which will be 1,500 tons of poultry meat a year. The cost of the project’s implementation is 1.9 billion tenge ($4.7 million), some 50 people to be employed at the plant.

The third project the implementation conclusion of which is expected this year is the construction of the sheet glass plant. The project is being implemented by Orda Glass company. The plant’s annual capacity will be 197,100 tons of sheet glass, whereas the implementation cost will be 42.1 billion tenge ($104.6 million). The plant is expected to employ 226 people.

Furthermore, Qazaq Camel company started construction of a camel milk producing plant the capacity of which will be up to 130 tons of dry camel milk a year. The project’s implementation cost is 1.5 billion tenge ($3.7 million), and is expected to employ nearly 150 people.

Aral Soda company also operating in the Aral region began implementing a project for construction of the workshop for production of a food salt. The workshop’s capacity will be 120,000 tons, whereas the implementation cost will be 2.9 billion tenge ($7.2 million). Some 150 people will be employed by the workshop.

Implementation of another two projects is to be launched in 2H2020. Thus, construction of a soda ash plant will be launched in the Aral region, the plant’s capacity will be 300,000 tons a year. The project is to be implemented by Aral Soda company, the project is to cost 93.5 billion tenge ($237.3 million).

ABK Prom Service is also planning to start fiberglass linear and high pressure tubing plant construction in Kyzylorda city in 2H2020. The plant’s capacity will be 300 km of pipes a year, whereas the project’s implementation cost will be 1.8 billion tenge ($4.4 million).
