Volume of oil extraction in Kazakhstan amounted to 38.5 million tons during first five months of 2020, which is 5.4 percent more than during the same period of 2019, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Industrial manufacturing in the country increased by 4.8 percent compared to the same period of 2019.
Thus, manufacturing of copper ore amounted to 45 million tons, which is 4.3 percent less compared to the reporting months of 2019. Manufacturing of petrol amounted to 1.8 million tons (increase by 11.8 percent).
Manufacturing of Portland cement was 3.7 million tons, which is 5.6 percent more than during the same period of 2019. Manufacturing of flat metal was 0.9 million tons (increase by 13 percent), of gasoil to 1.8 million tons (decrease by 7.5 percent), of electricity to 45.6 billion kWh (increase by 2.5 percent).
“The extraction of crude oil, natural gas and metal ores increased during the reporting period compared to the same period of 2019. The volumes of food products, tobacco products, pharmaceutical products, metallurgical industry and mechanical engineering output increased. At the same time, the production of drinks decreased,” the committee said.
