Turkmenistan increases export of clothing to EAEU countries

Turkmenistan increased the export of men's clothing by 3.1 times to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) from January through September 2020, Trend reports with reference to the Eurasian Economic Commission.

During the reporting period, 207,788 units of clothing were exported from Turkmenistan to Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia, totaling $1.4 million, which is also 3.2 times more than the amount for the same period last year.

Also, during this period, 82,779 units of women's clothing were exported from Turkmenistan to Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia, for a total amount of $632,105. In particular, the volume of exports increased by 2 times, and the amount by 94.1 percent.

In addition, during the reporting period, children's clothes were also exported from Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan, totaling $2,298.

From January through August 2020, Turkmenistan increased the export of men's clothing to the EAEU countries by 2.9 times.

During this period, 190,295 units of clothing were exported from Turkmenistan to Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia, totaling $ 1.2 million, which is also 2.9 times more than the amount for the same period last year.

Also, during this period, $80,994 units of women's clothing were exported from Turkmenistan to Belarus, Kazakhstan and Russia, for a total amount of $621,425.
