Iran’s Saipa Group manufactured 420,420 passenger cars in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Trend reports citing the group’s wewbsite.
According to the report, this is an increase of 1.5 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through March 19, 2020). So, the company manufactured 414,288 passenger cars in the preceding Iranian year.
“The growth of car manufacturing at Saipa Automaker Company began from preceding Iranian year. This growth continued last Iranian year, despite the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, a number of economic problems (financial problems, sanctions),” the report said.
In addition, the Saipa Company stopped manufacturing of its most popular car brand, ‘Pride’ car in the last Iranian year. However, 150,000 units of Pride car were manufactured, the report said.
