TBC Capital shares data on Georgia's real GDP growth

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 3

Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

Real GDP growth amounted to 18.7 percent in June 2021 in Georgia, overshooting projection of 17.2 percent year-on-year, Trend reports via the TBC Capital.

The average annual growth in the second quarter reached 29.8 percent.

When it comes to the same period of 2019, real GDP in June has increased by 9.6 percent, while economic activity in the second quarter of 2021 has surpassed that of 2019 by 12.6 percent.

The year-on-year increase was observed in the following sectors: manufacturing, transportation and storage, hotel and restaurants, real estate activities, construction and financial and insurance services, while mining and quarrying sector has contracted.
