Exports from Azerbaijan to Belarus in value terms amounted to over $128.3 million in the first 7 months of 2021, which is 1.9 times more compared to the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.
Reportedly, the share of Belarus in the total export of Azerbaijan in the specified period amounted to 1.13 percent, while a year earlier this figure was 0.73 percent.
“At the same time, Azerbaijan increased the import of Belarusian products from $64.1 million to $70 million (by 9.1 percent). The share of Belarus in the total import of Azerbaijan amounted to 1.11 percent of the total volume against 1.09 percent in the same period in 2020,” the SCC said.
Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Belarus in the specified period amounted to $198.3 million, and the foreign trade turnover between the two countries remained positive and amounted to $ 58.4 million.
In total, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover from January through July 2021 approached $17.7 billion. Of these, exports accounted for nearly $11.4 billion (64.4 percent), imports - $6.3 billion (35.6 percent).
