BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 29. The volume of Iran’s exports through the Bilasuvar border checkpoint in the Ardabil Province (north-western Iran) amounted to 490,000 tons for the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), Director General of the Road and Transport Department of Iran’s Ardabil Province, Kalimollah Vosughi said, Trend reports citing Iranian Ministry of Roads and Urban Development.
Vosughi said that this is an increase of 37 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021).
The director general also added that 420,000 tons of Iranian goods were exported by 18,666 Iranian trucks, while 49,000 tons - by 3,422 trucks from Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Tajikistan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Poland, and etc.
“The goods were mainly exported to Azerbaijan, Russia and Georgia. The exported goods were mainly potatoes, various types of glass materials, ceramics, fittings, profiles, salt, dates, and etc.,” he said.
