TEHRAN, Iran, April 28. Iran's Khudafarin irrigation and drainage network project requires 2.3 trillion rials (about $547 million) credit to be completed, said the director-general of Ardabil Regional Water Company Ali Heydari, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"So far 1.6 trillion rials (about $385 million) has been invested in the Khudafarin irrigation and drainage network project," he said.
Speaking about the Khudafarin dam irrigation and drainage network project whose construction was completed by 74 percent, he said that 1.1 trillion rials (about $276 million) credit have been assigned to the project in the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2022).
The construction of an irrigation network and drainage in a 36,700-hectare area in Ardabil Province is underway as part of the first phase of the project.
A total of 43 water pumping stations have been installed that would connect to other irrigation networks after the project is complete.
