BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 17. The value of Iran’s Tehran Province’s non-oil exports increased by 78 percent, during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Deputy Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Tehran Province Hassan Mirzaei said, Trend reports citing the organization.

The deputy noted that in total, $400 million worth of non-oil products were exported from Iran’s Tehran Province in 4 months.

Mirzaei also added that the share of Tehran Province in Iran's total non-oil exports was 32.2 percent.

According to him, the main part of Tehran Province's non-oil exports for 4 months were accounted for industrial and agricultural products. So, $250 million worth of industrial and agricultural products were exported from the province during the reporting period.

“Over 4 months, $3.27 billion worth of goods were imported to the province. The imported products were mainly raw materials, equipment, computer spare parts, mobile phones,” the official said.

In general, Iran's non-oil exports amounted to 35.6 million tons worth $17.2 billion within the first four months of the current Iranian year, which is an increase of 22 percent in value compared to the same period last Iranian year.
