Volume of Iran’s non-oil imports from Kyrgyzstan halves

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 19. Iran's imports from Kyrgyzstan decreased by 27 percent in value and 55.5 percent in volume during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through June 21, 2023), compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.

As stated in the statistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), Iran imported a total of 1,050 tons (the data may slightly differ from previous official releases) of goods worth approximately $1.5 million from Kyrgyzstan in 4 months.

Meanwhile, in the same period last year, Iran's imports from Kyrgyzstan amounted to nearly 2,370 tons worth approximately $2.06 million.

Iran imported mainly agricultural products and phosphoric acid from Kyrgyzstan for four months.

In the 4th month of the current Iranian year (June 22 through July 22, 2023), Iran imported 397 tons of non-oil products worth $492,000 to Kyrgyzstan.

Overall, Iran imported 11.8 million tons of goods worth $19.5 billion within the first 4 months of the current Iranian year.

This is an increase of 10.8 percent in value and 6.18 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
