The Italian Tadenni, the sub-contractor of the Azerbaijani Transport Ministry on the construction and reconstruction of the Gazimammad-Kurdamir highway, started work within the project, the Ministry told Trend. The mobilization of the technique is under completion.
The project will be implemented at the expense of the $41m credit allotted by the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The Gazimammad-Kurdamir is a section of the TRASECA corridor and EBRD regards its financing as a condition for development of the Central Asian countries. The credit was allotted under state guarantee for 15 years with LIBOR+1% interest rate.
The main 75 km motorway is supposed to be constructed beyond Kurdamir region. It will be built as 2-side road of 1st category.
