The law В"Social protection of children rightsВ" will be revised and amended, Trend reports with reference to permanent commission for public policy with Milli Medjlis.
The commission officials also said the aforementioned law is currently being monitored with this purpose. The monitoring is performed by workgroup headed by MP Akram Abdullayev, member of permanent commission for public policy with Milli Medjlis. The monitoring aims at tailoring national legislation to International Children Rights Convention.
The State Committee for problems of families, women and children also developed a proposal for making revisions and amendments in children-related legislation. These proposals will be taken into account in drafted law as well. Upon the drafting completion, the document will be submitted to Milli Medjlis.
