In November, the Baku thermal power plant (TPP) generated over 34.3 million kilowatt hours of electricity and more than 22,700 Gcal of thermal energy, the JSC Azerenergy (production and distribution of electricity in the Azerbaijani regions) reported today.
During the first 11 months of 2010, the plat generated more than 286.1 million kilowatt hours of electricity, which is 9.6 million kw / hour more than predicted.
The volume of thermal energy production was more than 268,300 Gcal of compared to projected 263,500 Gcal.
The Baku TPP switched to winter mode on Nov.15. The station provides full heating energy to Azerneftyag refinery and JSC Azeristiliktechizat.
The Baku TPP manages two gas turbines with a capacity of 53.5 MW each.
