Iran takes Gazprom out of oil field project

Iran 's National Iranian Oil Company has removed Russia's giant gas company Gazprom from the project to develop the Azar joint oil field.

"After multiple ultimatums and Gazprom's delays, this gas company has been removed from Azar joint field development plan," the National Iranian Oil Company stated.

Executive Director of Azar joint oil field development plan Hamid Karimi said "Russia's Gazprom has removed from negotiations of developing Azar joint oil field from past six months any demands from Gazprom to develop Azar field requires review and other candidates have put on our agenda,"

Iran will sign $2 billion contract with domestic consortium to develop joint filed with Iraq.
