The realization of development plans will raise output in four oil fields in the Lavan Island, an official of the Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) said.
"Today, the region's oil output is around 100,000 barrels per day (bpd), including 55,000 barrels from the Salman oilfield, 25,000 barrels - the Balal oilfield, 13,000 barrels - Reshadat oilfield and 8,000 barrels - the Resalat oilfield," IOOC Director for the Lavan oil region Abbas Rajabkhani told the Shana news agency on Saturday.
The oil production from the Salman and Reshadat oilfields were increased by some 3,500 bpd and 6,000 bpd, respectively, he said adding that the Reshadat oilfield's development plan would be completed by March 2013.
The Resalat oilfield's development plan is underway and its output will be increased to 12,000 bpd, he added.
The Balal oilfield's oil output will be increased by 2,000 bpd to 27,000 bpd by installing a drilling rig and revamping one of wells, Rajabkhani noted.
As for the Alfa oilfield, he said its reserves reach about 77 million barrels of oil in-situ.
