Chairman of Legal Entities "Kazakhstan Association of Oil & Gas and Energy Complex KAZENERGY", Chairman of the Presidium of the Legal Entities 'Association National Economic Chamber of Kazakhstan' (Atameken Union) and Kazakh President's son-in-law Timur Kulibayev was renominated to the board of directors of the Russian company Gazprom, the company reported on Monday.
Gazprom has received lists of 12 nominees for 11 seats at the Board of Directors at the annual meeting of shareholders. All nominees are current members of Gazprom's board, including Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Zubkov.
The list of nominees will be approved at the next meeting of the Gazprom Board of Directors.
Open Joint Stock Company Gazprom is the largest producer of natural gas in the world and the major Russian company. Its major business lines are geological exploration, production, transportation, storage, processing and marketing of hydrocarbons, as well as generation and marketing of heat and electric power. Russian government has a controlling stake in the company.
