Kazakhstan to complete gas processing plant designing by December 2012

Kazakh National Oil and Gas Company KazMunaiGas (KMG) plans to complete designing of the Karachaganak gas processing plant by December, 2011, KMG chairman Lyazzat Kiinov said on Tuesday, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported.
"We plan to receive the state bodies' conclusion on the Karachaganak gas processing plant feasibility study in 2012," Kiinov said at the governmental meeting.
Kiinov said that KazMunaiGas has two draft projects of Karachaganak gas processing plant construction. The first project worth $ 4.9 billion is proposed by Italian Eni and scheduled for 2015-2019, the second project worth $ 2.5 billion is proposed by U.S. Petrofac and scheduled for 2013-2016.
Moreover, KMG within the Kazakh Oil and Gas Ministry working group plans to start negotiations on the raw materials supply to the plant from Karachaganak field, Kiinov said.
