The volume of export of Turkmen oil to the countries outside the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) through the trunk oil pipeline of Russia’s Transneft PJSC amounted to 2 million tons in 2019, Trend reports to the company on Jan. 17.
The total volume of oil export to the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the countries outside the CIS through the trunk oil pipeline amounted to 238.8 million tons in 2019, exceeding the preceding year by 8.3 million tons.
Import and export of oil through the PJSC’s trunk oil pipelines based on applications is planned at the volume of 488.5 million tons in 2020.
Turkmenistan’s oil export through Russia renewed after a two-year hiatus at the beginning of 2019.
In general, about 10 million tons of oil are produced annually in Turkmenistan, the bulk of which is refined at local enterprises.
