BAKU, Azerbaijan, Mar. 10

By Elnur Baghishov – Trend:

The extraction from the BL-13P well of the Bilal oil field in the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) has increased daily from 600 barrels to 1,900 barrels, Trend reports citing the Iranian Offshore Oil Company’s website.

According to the report, a while ago, the extraction from the well was suspended due to a defect in the engine of the in-well pump.

“The ‘Sahar 2’ drilling rig was installed in the BL-13P well of the Bilal oil field and a number of repairs were carried out within 64 days,” the report said.

Thus, the extraction from well BL-13P was resumed on March 5, the report said.

As reported, Iran's Bilal oil field is located in the Persian Gulf near the territory of Qatar. There are two oil reservoirs in this field. It is estimated that the field contains 293 million barrels of crude oil, of which 117 million barrels can be extracted. At present, 40,000 barrels of crude oil are extracted from the field daily.
