Work on modernization and reconstruction, as well as the expansion of gas pipelines, is being implemented at 42 technological control facilities of Ustyurt gas production department, Trend reports referring to Uzbekneftegaz JSC.
It is reported that work is being intensively carried out to expand gas pipelines and lay additional pipelines to prevent gas leaks and hydraulic resistances within the framework of the approved geological and technical program for 2021.
According to the department of hydrocarbon production, the construction of a gas pipeline with a diameter of 325 millimeters and a length of 6,000 meters from the fifth gas collection point at the Sharkiy Berdak field to the complex gas treatment unit Sharkiy Berdak is currently underway.
Moreover, a new additional gas pipeline with a diameter of 641 millimeters and a length of 530 meters is being installed from the 47th kilometer of the commercial gas pipeline of the Arslon complex gas treatment unit to 17,000 kilometers of the Bukhara-Ural main gas pipeline.
Uzbekneftegaz notes that as a result of expansion work on gas pipelines, an additional 120,000 cubic meters of natural gas will be produced overnight from gas wells under the management.
“This will serve to ensure uninterrupted gas supply to the sectors of the economy and the population of Uzbekistan,” the message said.
