TEHRAN, Iran, June 7. Iran is facing an
increase in power consumption during summer, said CEO of Iran's
Power Generation and Distribution Company (TAVANIR) Arash Kurdi,
Trend reports
citing Fars News Agency.
"TAVANIR has predicted electricity consumption will rise to 58,000
megawatts per hour in the current week," he said.
He pointed out that TAVANIR will provide incentives to the
residential sector and reduce electricity bills of subscribers with
low power consumption.
Iran's power consumption is predicted to reach 66,000 megawatts per
hour during the summer peak and TAVANIR drafted an energy
management package for the industrial and agriculture sectors.
