BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 22. The total volume of RON-95 motor gasoline import by Azerbaijan decreased in 2022, Trend reports via the State Statistics Committee.
According to the committee, this figure equaled 99,490 tons, down by 32.5 percent on annual basis.
In total, last year, Azerbaijan imported RON-95 gasoline worth $102.54 million, which is 7.7 percent less than in 2021.
Meanwhile, 73.4 percent of the product’s import accounted for Russia. So, 73,070 tons were imported from the country (an increase of 40.7 percent) in the amount of $76.05 million (up by 2.1 times).
Besides, 8,250 tons worth $7.8 million of RON-95 gasoline were imported from Turkmenistan, 10,450 tons worth $11.8 million - from Bulgaria, 7,280 tons worth $6.5 million – from Romania, and 413.75 tons worth $323,020 – from Belarus.
In 2021, Azerbaijan imported 147,410 tons of this product in the amount of $111.1 million.
