Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend S.Aliyev / The Vice President of Azerenery JSC, Marlen Askerov , stated that presently Georgia supplies nearly 1 mln KWt /h of electricity to Azerbaijan.
The electricity supply from Georgia to Azerbaijan is explained by seasonal electricity excesses in Georgia.
Askerov stated that the electricity will be returned during the autumn-winter period. The electricity exchange is carried out according to the agreement concluded on the 29th of November 2006.
The Minister of Industry and Energy of Azerbaijan, Natig Aliyev , stated earlier that the meeting with the Energy Minister of Georgia, Nika Gilauri , focused on the issue of possibly returning the delivered energy at the expense of the gas deliveries from Azerbaijan.
