Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Aliyev / ВР Azerbaijan is eager to gradually increase gas production from the Shah Deniz field, which was earlier cut. This is explained by the commencement of gas delivery to Turkey, the company said on 9 July.
At present there three operative fields in the field. There are plans to commission a fourth in October.
At present, daily production from the Shah Deniz field operated by ВР is 300mln standard cu feet (approximately 8.5mln cu m) of gas and approximately 25,000 barrels of condensate.
Following the commission of other pre-drilling wells, production from the field will continue increasing. Later this year the drilling of new wells from this platform will be started.
