The money supply rate (M2 - cash in circulation outside banks) in Azerbaijan amounted to 16.4 billion manat ($9.6 billion) as of late March 2020, which is 15 percent more compared to the same month of 2019, Trend reports citing the statistical bulletin of Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to the CBA’s bulletin, the amount of Cash Money Supply (M0) increased by 13.2 percent to 8.5 billion manat ($5 billion), Broad Money Supply (M3) increased by 10.4 percent up to 26.7 billion manat ($15.7 billion), and Transaction money (M1) increased by 18 percent, up to 13.8 billion manat ($8.1 billion).

M0 = cash in circulation (banknotes and coins).
M1 = M0 + demand deposits (including bank debit cards), balances in national currency in the accounts of non-financial institutions, financial (except credit) organizations.

M3 = M2 + savings deposits, state bonds.
