Iran discloses number of licensed enterprises in Qom Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 11

A total of255 licenses were issued for construction or reconstruction of enterprises in Iran's Qom Province during the first three months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 to June 20, 2020), said Mahmoud Sijani, chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Qom Province, Trend reports citing the organization’s official website.

The chairman noted that 243 enterprises are to be constructed during this period.

He added that 23.6 trillion rials (about $562 million) will be invested in these projects and 3,780 people will be employed.

“In addition, licenses were issued for reconstruction and modernization of 12 enterprises, and about 6.26 trillion rials [$149 million] will be invested in these facilities with 187 people employed,” he said.

The chairman stressed that within three months, the licenses were also issued for the commissioning of22 new enterprises, and 1.04 trillion rials (about $24 million) have been invested in these enterprises with 494 people employed.

Sijani said that 29 licenses were issued for the commissioning of 29 modernized enterprises. More than 1.06 trillion rials (about $25 million) have been invested in the development of these enterprises and 432 people have been employed.

In total, more than 51 trillion rials (about $1.21 billion) have been invested in industrial enterprises in Iran's Qom Province. With these funds, 2,230 industrial enterprises operate in the province and employ 56,800 people.
