About 12.2 trillion rials (about $290 million) worth of loans were issued to manufacturing enterprises in Iran in order to increase manufacturing and employment during the first two months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through May 21, 2021), Trend reports citing the statistics of Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.
According to the statistics, the loans were issued to 137 manufacturing enterprises within 2 months. However, a total of 181 enterprises registered to receive loans in the two months.
In general, 7,660 manufacturing enterprises in Iran have registered to receive loans from February 20, 2019 to May 21, 2021. Of these, the name of 2,760 were announced to banks for issuance of loans worth about 207 trillion rials (about $4.92 billion), the statistics said.
“About 99.2 trillion rials (about $2.36 billion) worth of loans have been issued to 1,510 enterprises from February 20, 2019 to May 21, 2021 within the program to increase employment and manufacturing,” the statistics said.
