Uzbekistan to allocate funds for entrepreneurs financing

The Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan will allocate $100 million to finance entrepreneurs, Trend reports with reference to UzDaily.uz.

The corresponding resolution was signed by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

According to the resolution, the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan will allocate the above-mentioned amount to commercial banks with a state share for further support. The funds are allocated to banks with a three-year grace period for a period of 7 years at a rate of 7 percent on the basis of a separately approved distribution.

The number of private enterprises operating in Uzbekistan as of June 1, 2021 reached 508,506.

The largest number of private enterprises in the country for the reporting period was recorded in trade - 35,750 enterprises, followed by private enterprises in industry (16,407) and enterprises providing accommodation and catering services - a little more than 8,000 enterprises.

In addition, the highest growth of newly created enterprises this year was observed in the sphere of trade - 28.5 percent in relation to the same period last year.
