The largest share of loans issued in Azerbaijan in 10M2021 fell to households, accounting for 49.4 percent of the total lending (45.7 percent a year earlier), Trend reports citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to the CBA, the volume of loans issued to households increased on an annualized basis by 1.35 billion manats ($794 million), or 20.05 percent - from 6.76 billion ($4 billion) to 8.12 billion manats ($4.8 billion).
Also, lending to trade and services increased over the year by 239.4 million manats ($140.9 million), or 9.4 percent - up to 2.78 billion manats ($1.6 billion) against 2.54 billion manats ($1.5 billion). The share of trade and services in the total volume of lending amounted to 17 percent.
Loans issued in the field of transport and communications decreased by 126.9 million manats ($74.7 million) or by 14.5 percent on an annualized basis - from 875.6 ($) to 748.7 million manats ($), accounting for 4.6 percent of the total amount of loans in the real sector.
In addition, loans issued in the field of industry and production decreased over the year by 283.2 million manats ($515.2 million) or by 23.4 percent - to 945.2 million manats ($556.2 million) against 1.228 billion manats ($722.6 million) a year earlier.

In general, the volume of loans issued to the real sector of the Azerbaijani economy in 10M2021 increased by 1.63 billion manats ($959.1 million), or 11.4 percent on an annualized basis - from 14.785 billion ($8.7 billion) to 16.41 billion manats ($9.6 billion).
