BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 19. The total assets of Azerbaijan’s Kapital Bank in 1Q2022 increased by 24.1 percent compared to the same period last year, Trend reports citing the bank's balance sheet.

According to the report, the total assets of the bank increased by 1.3 billion manat ($764.7 million) over the year - up to 6.9 billion manat ($4.05 billion).

The largest share (41.87 percent) of the total amount was the loan portfolio, which grew by 31.19 percent over the year - up to 2.9 billion manat ($1.7 billion).

The deduction of targeted reserves from the bank's portfolio to ensure possible losses amounted to 378.5 million manat ($222.6 million).

According to the results of 1Q2022, about 29.4 percent of the total assets of Kapital Bank were cash and cash equivalents, which grew by 1.29 percent over the year to 2.03 billion manat ($1.19 billion). Another 24.69 percent of the bank's assets were investments in securities - 1.7 billion manat ($1 billion) (an increase of 72.51 percent over the year).

In the structure of long-term assets of Kapital Bank, unused real estate amounted to 65.9 million manat ($38.7 million), which has increased by 9.27 percent over the year. Intangible assets increased over the year by 5.62 percent, amounting to 25.4 million manat ($14.9 million). Other assets of the bank in 1Q2022 amounted to 210.1 million manat ($123.5 million) (an increase of 2.95 percent over the year).
