BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 2. The balance of bank loans in Iran increased by 48.3 percent, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Trend reports referring to the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

According to the report, the balance of bank loans amounted to 41.4 quadrillion rials (about $986 billion) for last Iranian year.

The balance of deposits also increased by 42.7 percent for last Iranian year compared to the preceding Iranian year. So, the balance of bank deposits in Iran amounted to 55.3 quadrillion rials (about $1.32 trillion) within the mentioned period.
